New Jersey, Inc.
GOALS
-
Foster and promote
surrogate decision making, including but not limited to guardianship
services and alternative support (advocacy) services, for persons who
are elderly, mentally, ill, developmentally disabled, or otherwise in
need;

Develop and provide for
the exchange of ideas, education and communication between groups and
individuals interested in such decision making services;

Develop and foster
compatible standards and procedures for a comprehensive system of
alternative support (advocacy) services for such persons;

Foster and promote high
ethics and standards for professional and family members acting on
behalf of such persons; and
-
To promote autonomy and
self-determination on the part of such persons to the maximum extent
possible.

An association incorporated
as a not-for profit statewide organization to strengthen guardianship and
related services through networking, education and advocacy in New Jersey.
BECOMING A MEMBER
Membership is available on a
family, profession, individual, or organizational basis.
Organizational membership
entitles the organization to receive discounted registration for all of
their staff and to elect a second designee to receive mailings, such as
the newsletter, membership directory and conference notes.
